TMT Wireless Gate Remote
Follow these instructions to program your new remote using an existing working remote.
Most customers can complete this in about one minute without opening the gate motor.
Before You Start
- You need one remote that already operates your gate.
- Have the new remote unwrapped and ready.
- Stand beside the gate motor’s grey control box.
- Make sure the gate is fully stopped before beginning.
Important:
These instructions program the new remote without opening the gate motor.
Do not press or hold the RF Learn button inside the motor control box, as holding it too long can erase existing remotes.
How to Program Your New Remote
1. Stand beside the gate motor
Make sure the gate is completely stopped. Have both the existing working remote and the new remote ready.
2. Activate programming mode
On the existing working remote, press and hold both top buttons together for 10 seconds.
This allows the gate receiver to accept a new remote for approximately 10 seconds.
3. Program the new remote
Within those 10 seconds, press and hold the top-left button on the new remote for approximately 2 seconds.
4. Wait and test
Wait at least 10 seconds before testing. Press the top-left button once and confirm that the gate operates normally.
The existing remote does not operate the gate
This programming method requires an existing working remote. Check its battery first. The new remote does not operate the gate
Move closer to the gate motor and repeat the programming steps. Make sure you complete Step 3 within 10 seconds of activating programming mode.
Which button should operate the gate?
Use the top-left button, marked A in the diagram. Other buttons may be available for a second gate or another programmed function.
The remote only works close to the gate
The remote battery may be weak. Replace the battery and test it again before attempting to reprogram the remote.
