Understanding your pool fence estimate

The calculator provides an indicative fully installed estimate using the fence lengths, styles, gates and extras you select. It is designed to help you compare materials and establish a practical budget before the property is measured.

Your final quotation may differ because a compliant pool barrier depends on the actual site, not fence length alone. We need to confirm the proposed barrier line, ground levels, gate locations, access, fixing surfaces and nearby structures before recommending the final layout.

Comparing pool fence materials

Different materials can be combined to balance visibility, privacy, appearance and budget. The mixed-style option lets you enter the length of each section instead of pricing the whole barrier as one product.

Frameless and semi-frameless glass

Clear sightlines make glass a popular choice around pools and landscaped entertaining areas. The final installation method depends on the slab, paving, deck, levels and edge clearances.

Perforated, tubular and batten fencing

Metal systems can provide a contemporary or practical alternative to glass. Profile, spacing, height, finish and the relationship to the rest of the property are confirmed before ordering.

Mixed pool-fence styles

Many projects use glass where outlook is important and another material along boundaries or less visible sections. Each junction and gate still needs to work as part of one complete barrier.

What the calculator considers

  • The selected fence material and entered length
  • The number and type of pool gates selected
  • Selected removal and sloping-ground allowances
  • The project minimum where applicable
  • Subtotal, GST and total including GST

Only the options actively selected are included in the displayed estimate.

What the site measure confirms

We confirm exact dimensions, access, demolition, slopes, soil and concrete conditions, fixing methods, custom panels, gate handing and connections to walls, posts or existing boundaries.

The surrounding pool area must also be considered as a complete safety barrier. Landscaping, climbable objects, doors, windows, retaining walls and adjoining structures may affect the compliant layout and cannot be assessed by an online calculator.

Pool fence estimator questions

Use the estimate to compare realistic starting options. The free measure is where we turn that starting point into a buildable project and formal quotation.

How accurate is the pool fence estimate?

It is an indicative budget based on the measurements and options entered. Accuracy improves when the lengths, fence types and gate quantities are close to the intended layout, but it remains subject to the on-site assessment.

Can I combine glass and metal pool fencing?

Yes. Select the mixed-style option and enter the length required for each material. We will confirm how the different systems connect and whether the proposed arrangement suits the property.

Are pool gates included automatically?

No. Add the required gate type and quantity in the gate section. Gate position, handing, clearances and the surrounding barrier are confirmed during the measure.

Does the estimate confirm pool-barrier compliance?

No. The calculator prices selected products; it does not certify the existing property or proposed layout. Applicable Victorian requirements and the complete pool area must be considered before work proceeds.

What if my measurements are only approximate?

Approximate dimensions are suitable for early budgeting. Enter the best measurements available and use the result as a comparison tool. Outlook Fencing will take the construction measurements before preparing the final scope.
